Organophilic bentonite, also known as organoclay, is organically modified bentonite used as a rheology additive in suitable solvent-based paint and coating systems.
Hermano supplies organophilic bentonite for coating applications. Grade selection should take into account the resin system, solvent composition, processing conditions, and target performance.
Functions in Coating Formulations
Organoclays are used to adjust viscosity and thixotropic flow, support pigment and filler suspension, and help control settling and sagging.
The results depend on the selected grade and the complete formulation. Suitability and performance should be confirmed through laboratory evaluation.

To discuss a suitable grade for evaluation, please share your coating application, resin type, main solvents, and the rheology additive you currently use, if applicable. Please also describe the issue you would like to address, such as pigment settling, sagging, or insufficient viscosity.
